Formidable Electronic Media emerged champions in the Vipul Festival Cricket Tournament, trouncing host Vipul Limited in the final by 76 runs in the final at Paramount ground here today. Earlier in the semifinals, Electronic Media got the better Cine Artists by nine runs, while Vipul Limited edged out Print Media by four runs.
Lingaraj Maharana (Electronic Media) was adjudged both the man of the final and man of the tournament, while his teammate Pradosh Baliarsingh was named the best batsman. Prasant Gochhayat (Print Media) took the prize as the best bowler, while the best fielder prize was shared by Anubhav Mohanty (Cine Artists) and Niranjan Reddy (Electronic Media).
